Lindale Volleyball Sweeps Brownsboro
In the Varsity matchup at Brownsboro Tuesday night, Lindale dominated in 3 sets 25-16, 25-12, and 25-7. Alyssa Potts led the Lady Eagles with 12 kills from the middle. Addison Ridge earned 9 kills, 5 aces, 3 digs, and 1 assist. Ella Hutchens added 8 kills, 2 blocks, and Brooke Gissell had 7 kills, 3 blocks. Jordyn Weesner contributed 4 kills, 1 block. Macy Luster earned 18 assists, 1 kill, 1 ace, and Emory Schmidt earned 7 assists, 1 dig. Libero Reagan Hope recorded 4 digs, and Callie Schmidt had 3. The Lady Eagles improved their record to 8-0 in district, and 33-7 overall. Lindale will travel to Athens to take on the Lady Hornets Friday at 4:30pm.
Lindale’s Junior Varsity won in 3 sets 24-26, 25-11, and 25-15. Addyson Daughtry put down 12 kills to lead the attack. Skyler McDonald earned 6 kills, 3 digs, 1 ace. Emma Watkins recorded 5 kills, 4 digs, and Saige Myers put down 4 kills, 7 aces. A.J. McPherson had 3 kills and a block. Setter Grace Koustoubardis contributed 25 assists, 3 aces. Defensively Baylee Brooks earned 11 digs, Kimber Simpson had 7 digs, and Tori Cooper recorded 3 digs.
Freshmen won in 3 sets 20-25, 25-14, and 25-10. Makynli Zemer led with 4 kills. Zaidyn Chamberlain had a strong showing with 3 kills, and 5 aces. Brynlee Wilson recorded 2 kills, and Samantha Sundholm recorded 1. Saniyah Clayton had 7 assists, 2 aces, and Kenlee Keith had 2 assists, 1 ace. Other contributors were Dylan Grace with 3 digs, 1 ace; Charli Morgan 3 digs; Jazmin Castaneda 2 digs, 1 ace; Maci Gateley 1 dig, 1ace; and Braylee Willard 2 aces.
