The Lady Eagles made quick work of the Athens Hornets Tuesday night at home in 3 sets. Set scores were 25-8, 25-8, and 25-6. Addison Ridge and Brooke Gissell each had 9 kills on the night. Ridge added 5 aces, 4 digs, and Gissell earned 4 blocks. Jordyn Weesner contributed 3 blocks. Ella Hutchens put down 8 kills, and Alyssa Potts added 7 kills, 3 aces, and 2 digs. Callie Schmidt served 3 aces, and Reagan Hope recorded 3 digs. Setters Macy Luster (15 assists), Emory Schmidt (11 assists), and Jesse Chandler (6 assists) all contributed to the Lady Eagles offense. The Lady Eagles are 28-7 overall, and 3-0 in District 15-4A. Lindale's next match will be in Canton Friday at 4:30pm.
Junior Varsity won in 2 sets 25-19 and 25-15. Emma Watkins led the attack for the JV Eagles with 7 kills and a block. Skyler McDonald put down 6 kills, Cambry Andreason 5, and Addyson Daughtry earned 4 kills. Setter Kaidance Smith assisted 14 times, served 5 aces, and had 2 digs. Baylee Brooks recorded 6 digs, and 2 assists. Kimber Simpson had 4 digs defensively, and Tori Cooper had 2. Saige Myers added 4 aces and a block. Junior Varsity will also play Canton Friday following the Varsity Match.
Freshmen A Team also won in 2 sets 25-10 and 25-18. Makynli Zemer put down 9 kills, Bryleigh Jackson added 4, and Brynlee Wilson had 3. Maci Gateley served 3 aces and recorded 2 assists, 1 kill. Charli Morgan served 2 aces, and added 1 dig. Setter, Saniyah Clayton assisted 6 times, and served 4 aces, and Kenlee Keith had 4 assists, 2 digs. Zaidyn Chamberlain served 2 aces. The Freshmen A Team will play Canton Friday at 5:30pm.
