Lindale Volleyball defeated Brownsboro Friday night at home in 3 sets 25-15, 25-8, and 25-22. The Lady Eagles are 2-0 in district play and 27-7 overall. Alyssa Potts dominated from the middle with 13 kills and 2 blocks. Addison Ridge put down 9 kills, 3 aces, and had 4 digs defensively. Ella Hutchens added 7 kills, 3 blocks, and Brooke Gissell also had 7 kills on the night. Jordyn Weesner recorded 4 kills, 1 block. Defensive standouts were Callie Schmidt with 9 digs, and Reagan Hope with 8. Macy Luster assisted 20 times and led the team in aces with 4. Emory Schmidt had 15 assists, and 2 aces. The Lady Eagles play at home Tuesday night at 6:00pm against Athens. Players and Coaches from the Lindale Volleyball League will be recognized prior to the game.
Junior Varsity won in 2 sets 25-13 and 25-17. Skyler McDonald led with 9 kills, 5 digs, and an ace. Emma Watkins added 5 kills, and Addyson Daughtry had 4 kills, 2 blocks. Cambry Andreason recorded 3 kills, 1 block, and 2 digs. Saige Myers put down 3 kills, and 2 aces. Setter Kaidance Smith had 11 assists, 2 digs, and Grace Koustoubardis had 10 assists and served a team high 4 aces. JV will compete in the Lindale Tournament Saturday, and at home on Tuesday at 5:00pm.
Freshmen A Team rounded out the night with a 2 set win over Brownsboro. Saniyah Clayton recorded 5 assists, 1 kill, and 1 ace. Kenlee Keith also recorded 5 assists. Zaidyn Chamberlain led the attack with 4 kills and added an ace from the service line. Libero, Dylan Grace served 2 aces. Bryleigh Jackson put down 3 kills, and Brynlee Wilson earned 1 kill, 2 blocks for the Freshmen squad. Both Freshmen Teams will compete in the Lindale Tournament on Saturday at the Junior High. Freshmen A Team will take on Athens on Tuesday at 5:00pm, and Freshmen B will play at 4:30pm in Rusk.
