Stan Short arrives at Lindale as a veteran basketball coach that began his career as an assistant coach in Crandall, TX in 2001. In 2006, he became the head coach at Crandall, quickly building them into a consistent and proud program. The past 3 seasons, Coach Short has been the head boys coach at Peaster, TX, where they have averaged over 25 wins per season and won 6 gold balls in those 3 seasons. With his new style of play, and emphasis on effort and toughness, and aggressive defense, Coach Short’s teams have won 5 district championships, and 12 total championships out of his last 6 seasons as head coach. During those same 6 seasons, Coach Short’s teams have a combined district record of 65-8. Coach Short’s overall head coaching record is 387- 181 in 17 seasons as a head coach. He and his family are very excited to be Eagles. Stan and his wife Stephanie have two young children named Lillie and Kason. They were active in their church in Weatherford, Texas and are looking forward to joining the Lindale community.
